"The Morning Rush" -Trail #1

FADE IN:

INT. Living room – MORNING

Begins with a big title screen. Then shows the setting in OLIVER MOORE’s living room, OLIVER’S CAT sleeping peacefully in their cat bed. OLIVER’S CAT wakes up suddenly.

OLIVER MOORE

(suddenly)

Silver! Get out of my way!

OLIVER speaks loudly as he walks purposefully past the screen. SILVER JEWEL slowly trailing behind OLIVER.

OLIVER MOORE

(sharply)

I’ve got too much on my mind, I’m going

to be late for work at this rate.

As OLIVER is specking, SILVER trips over the coffee table and falls over clumsily.

OLIVER MOORE

I cannot possibly deal with you right now. I

still have to clean your last incident! You

always make me extraordinarily late and I

cannot be late this time since I’m the one running

the meeting!

OLIVER stands in the doorway into the hallway facing away from SILVER as SILVER stumbles on the ground

OLIVER MOORE

It just bothers me how you’re just soo…

OLIVER spins around and faces SILVER, seeing how SILVER is tangled with the coffee chair.

OLIVER MOORE

(sighs)

You.

OLIVER leans forward, face-to-face with SILVER intimidatingly as SILVER stagers to his feet, OLIVER glaring at SILVER.

OLIVER MOORE

so, I want you to sit right there...

(continue on)

OLIVER points at the couch.

OLIVER MOORE

(continue on)

... and not do anything.

Got it?

SILVER embarrassed nods nervously and walks towards the couch as OLIVER stands straight and graves the door handle.

OLIVER MOORE

Just stay There!

OLIVER slams the door behind him. The slamming of the door causes the room shake and makes an item teeter closer towards the edge of the shelf.

SILVER looks around, bored but notices the item about to fall. SILVER looks shocked and horrified. He rises quickly and dives to catch it as it falls.

SILVER JEWEL

(thud)

As SILVER lands on the ground he accidently knocks OLIVER’s coat rack that hits the cabinet. SILVER rushes past the screen to stop the cabinet from falling, causing papers to fly up around the room and hit more items that begin to tip and fall.

SILVER JEWEL

(frantic)

SILVER desperately rushes around trying to stop the chaos as it erupts.

OLIVER’S CAT

(meow)

SILVER, in an awkward yoga position holding everything together, looks up to be OLIVER’s prized item being pushed towards the edge of the shelf by OLIVER’S CAT.

SILVER hurls himself across the room, reaching in seemingly slow-motion in a desperate attempt to save the item from its doom. SILVER hits the cabinet.

SILVER JEWEL

(BANG)

It reveals SILVER leaning against the cabinet clutching the object, having successfully caught it. 

SILVER slowly rubs his head, but then OLIVER’S CAT falls from above and lands on his lap.

OLIVER’S CAT

(meow)

SILVER, wide-eyed, cracks a smile. SILVER stands and puts the object back on the cabinet. He then looks around the room, in a complete mess with OLIVER’S CAT standing beside him.

OLIVER MOORE

(shouting)

Silver, you better be ready to go!

Silver is panicked, looking towards the door. Oliver bursts in but freezes. The room is tidy, but all the items are in different spots than they originally were.

Silver is sitting on the couch, looking ruffled and untidy due to rushing around with a large fake smile on his face. Oliver is stunned and shakes his head.

OLIVER MOORE

I don’t want to take you outside looking

like that! You’ll embarrass me.

SILVER stands as OLIVER starts to rush and lead SILVER towards the front door.

OLIVER MOORE

(sighs dramatically)

Come on, we’re going to be late! Out,

out, out. If I’m late…

OLIVER graves hold of the front door handle.

OLIVER MOORE

I blame you.

OLIVER slams the door closed.
