FADE IN:
INT. BEDROOM – MORNING

OLIVER, the usually serious, dark haired, 24 year old, is in bed graving tissue after tissue and blowing his nose, all well SILVER JEWEL, a silver haired, 19 year old, mute, shy guy, is watching him from the doorway. OLIVER notices SILVER

OLIVER
(coughing)
Hey. Silver, can you come, over here?

SILVER waltz’s towards OLIVER.

OLIVER
(sniffs)
Can… can you do me a, favor?

SILVER surprised looks excited and OLIVER frowns

OLIVER
Ummm. Can you go to the, local pharmacy
and get me some acetaminophen?

SILVER gets nervous about going outside alone

OLIVER
(coughing)
It would, make me feel better. Do you
want me to, feel better, or not?

SILVER nodes his head slowly as OLIVER blows his nose

OLIVER
Good. Now get going! You better
be back here by lunch, got it?

SILVER nodes again and heads out the bedroom door. OLIVER, now that SILVER is gone, lies alone

OLIVER
He better get the right medicine…

EXT. PHARMACY – MORNING

SILVER cautiously walks though the sliding doors into the pharmacy.

INT. PHARMACY – MORNING-NOON

SILVER looks around the store with large eyes, but accidentally tips over a bottle

(crash!)

Guilty, SILVER sweeps the mess under the shelf and walks to the counter where he meets a bored and tired PHARMACIST.

PHARMACIST
Good morning sir, how may I
help you today?

SILVER takes out his notebook and tries to write ‘acetaminophen’. SILVER lifts the notebook up and shows PHARMACIST.

PHARMACIST
(clears throat)
Sir, I’m sorry but I do not know
what that word means.

SILVER looks back over his notebook embarrassed.

 PHARMACIST
You know, sir, you could tell
me what the word is. I could
help you a lot faster.

SILVER surprised stares for a few moment but regains himself, turns away from the counter, and goes to find the medicine himself.

PHARMACIST
(sighs)

The clock behind PHARMACIST speeds up to show the passing of time as PHARMACIST stands there bored and unmoving.

INT. PHARMACY – AFTERNOON

SILVER returns to the counter disappointed and empty handed.

 PHARMACIST
(sarcasm)
Did you find what you were
looking for?

SILVER gives PHARMACIST a glare and shakes his head. PHARMACIST still doesn’t understand SILVER’s silence.

 PHARMACIST
Are you going to tell me what you
would like now sir? You would be
able to enjoy your day outside
maybe.

SILVER frowns but takes out his phone to text OLIVER about the medicine.

 PHONE
Hey Oliver! How do you spell that
medicine you wanted? I don’t know
how… :/

SILVER stares at his screen waiting but with no reply. PHARMACIST sighs irritated with SILVER’s silence.

PHARMACIST
Sir. If you’re not going to tell
me what you would like today,
then I can’t help you. You should
get someone who can talk to get
what you want. OK?

SILVER embarrassed and red faced nodes and turns towards the exit. The PHARMACIST sighs in relief. As SILVER steps forward he remembers how sick OLIVER was in bed.

(voice over)
OLIVER
Ummm. Can you go to the, local
pharmacy and get me some
acetaminophen?

SILVER feels guilt building up as he steps closer to the exit.

(voice over)
OLIVER
It would, make me feel better. Do you
want me to, feel better, or not?

SLIVER stops, slowly turns around and trudges back to the counter. PHARMACIST looks disappointed with SILVER coming back.

PHARMACIST
So, what can I do…

SILVER interrupts PHARMACIST by suddenly pointing at a random medicine in fount of him.

PHARMACIST
Umm… You want Allopurinol?

SILVER realizes that this is how he will find the medicine. He will use PHARMACIST’s voice to hear the different medicine’s and find the one OLIVER needs. SILVER is filled with hope and immediately points at another medicine.

PHARMACIST
Amitriptyline?

SILVER swiftly points at another over and over with PHARMACIST reading out what the labels say.

PHARMACIST
Albuterol?
(pause)
Azithromycin?
(pause)
Atorvastatin?

SILVER being bombarded by all these words get’s dizzy as he envisions lots of different medicines flying past him. PHARMACIST’s voice become distant and fuzzy as everything gets more mashed together.

PHARMACIST
(distant, fuzzy)
Alprazolam? Amlodipine?
Amiodarone? Allopurinol?
Amoxicillin? Aspirin?
Atenolol?

SILVER is on the verge of snapping because of how frustrated he is and scowls at PHARMACIST. Abruptly, SILVER’s phone makes a sound and all the chaos stops.

Phone
(vibrates)

SILVER snatches his phone and reads the screen.

PHONE
Oh ya. You can’t speak. It’s
acetaminophen

SILVER filled with relief shoves the phone in PHARMACIST’s face.

PHARMACIST
Ohhhh. You wanted acetaminophen?

SILVER nodes his head frantically. PHARMACIST takes some acetaminophen off the shelf, scans it, bags it, and hands it to SILVER. SILVER turns towards the exit once more.

PHARMACIST
(waving goodbye)
Goodbye. Have a nice, rest of your
day, sir.

SILVER leaving the store rushes home to OLIVER.

INT. BEDROOM - AFTERNOON

OLIVER is still in bed as SILVER walks in.

OLIVER
(moans)
About time. It’s past noon ya know?
Just give it here.

SILVER pauses.

OLIVER
Hey, what’s going on SILVER?

SILVER’s eyes get wider as everything around him seems distant and darken. OLIVER’s voice is distant as everything becomes more intense for SILVER along with the music getting louder.

OLIVER
(voice over)
SILVER? Hey SILVER? SILVER!?

Without notice, the intensity disappears and OLIVER’s voice becomes clear. SILVER still standing still.

OLIVER
SILVER?

SILVER abruptly launches the acetaminophen at OLIVER’s face but never shows impact.
