Character Final Development's

I have done the pose-sheets, turn around and the coloured finial piece
I have done the pose sheets with the line of action being the first thing I draw. I only had to do a minimum of four positions but pushed myself to try more and created eight.
I at first played it save but pushed the boundaries with making it harder for myself with harder angles and lines of actions. Also by having him on the wall, flying, and even sitting potions.
I next did the turn around
I did have straight lines to help me keep the proportions constant with each other. I think this when well. Drawing his from all angles was harder that I first thought but I did concur it well.
Finally, I choose my favorite position to colour
I used a website called Paletteon to get the best colours. I knew that he had silver hair and blue eyes. I used this general idea and the website to get the side colours. After I had the palette, I experimented with different colours placed onto different pieces of clothing. When I was happy with the different colour placement, I then added special affects to the colours to make the colours stand out more, darker, paler, etc. This is how I got the colours I have now. I am happy with the final piece of art.

This is the finial pieces of work towards my Character Development Paper

FADE IN:
INT. BEDROOM – MORNING

OLIVER, the usually serious, dark haired, 24-year-old, is in bed grabbing tissue after tissue and blowing his nose. SILVER JEWEL, a silver haired, 19-year-old, mute, shy guy, is leaning in the doorway. OLIVER notices SILVER staring at him.

OLIVER
(coughing)
Silver, please, come here.

SILVER waltzes towards OLIVER.

OLIVER
(sniffs)
Can… can you do me a, favor?

SILVER looks excited but OLIVER frowns.

OLIVER
Ummm. Can you go to the pharmacy
and get me some acetaminophen?

SILVER’s expression turns to a frown and he starts to shake his head, nervous.

OLIVER
(coughing)
It would, make me feel better. Do
you want me to, feel better, or not?

SILVER nodes his head slowly as OLIVER blows his nose

OLIVER
Good. Now get going! You better
be back here by lunch, got it?

SILVER nodes again and backs out the door. OLIVER slumps back in his bed.

INT. PHARMACY – NOON

SILVER looks around the store with large eyes and walks to the counter where he meets a bored and tired PHARMACIST.

PHARMACIST
Good morning sir, how may I
help you today?

SILVER takes out his notebook and tries to write ‘acetaminophen’. SILVER lifts the notebook up and shows the PHARMACIST.

PHARMACIST
(clears throat)
Sir, I’m sorry but I do not
know what you're scribbling.

SILVER looks down at his notebook embarrassed.

PHARMACIST
You know, sir, you could tell me
what the word is. I could help
you a lot faster.

SILVER stares for a moment then spins around and stomps down an aisle.

PHARMACIST
(sighs)

The clock behind the PHARMACIST speeds up to show the passing of time as he stands there bored and unmoving

SILVER returns to the counter disappointed and empty handed.

PHARMACIST
(sarcasm)
Did you find what you were looking
for?

SILVER glares and shakes his head.

PHARMACIST
(Annoyed)
Are you going to tell me what you
would like now sir?

An idea springs to mind and SILVER grins as he takes out his phone.

PHONE
Hey Oliver! How do you spell that
medicine you wanted? I don’t know
how… :/

SILVER stares at the screen, but there's no reply.

PHARMACIST
(More annoyed)
Sir. If you’re not going to tell
me what you would like, then
I cannot help you.

Red faced, SILVER nods and turns to the exit. But SILVER stops as he imagines how sick OLIVER is.

OLIVER (V.O.)
(quiet)
Ummm. Can you go to the pharmacy
and get me some acetaminophen?

SILVER takes a step forward but then OLIVER's voice is louder.

OLIVER (V.O.) (CONT’D)
(louder)
It would, make me feel better. Do
you want me to, feel better, or not?

SLIVER slowly turns around and trudges back to the counter. The PHARMACIST looks disappointed.

PHARMACIST
So, what can I do…

SILVER interrupts the PHARMACIST by suddenly pointing at a random medicine in fount of him.

PHARMACIST
Umm… You want Allopurinol?

SILVER suddenly grins wide and points at another medicine.

PHARMACIST
Amitriptyline?

SILVER swiftly points at another over and over.

INT. SILVER JEWEL’S MIND - AFTERNOON

PHARMACIST
Albuterol?
(pause)
Azithromycin?
(pause)
Atorvastatin?

SILVER being bombarded by all these words gets dizzy as he imagines medicines, the words of the medicines, and the PHARMACIST’s head flying past him.

PHARMACIST
(distant, fuzzy)
Alprazolam? Amlodipine?
Amiodarone? Allopurinol?
Amoxicillin? Aspirin?
Atenolol?

SILVER is shacking with frustrated and scowls at the PHARMACIST.

INT. PHARMACY – AFTERNOON

Abruptly, SILVER’s phone makes a sound and all the chaos stops.

Phone
(vibrates)

SILVER snatches his phone and reads the screen.

PHONE
Oh ya. You can’t speak. It’s
acetaminophen

Relief floods SILVER and he shoves the phone in PHARMACIST’s face.

PHARMACIST
Ohhhh. You wanted acetaminophen?

SILVER nods his head frantically. The PHARMACIST takes some acetaminophen off the shelf, scans it, bags it, and hands it over.

SILVER leaves the store as quick as he can

INT. BEDROOM - AFTERNOON

OLIVER is still in bed as SILVER walks in.

OLIVER
(moans)
About time.

SILVER abruptly launches the acetaminophen at OLIVER’s face and stomps off.

Oliver
(in pain)
AGH! HEY! What was tha…

OLIVER is interrupted by his phone receiving a message.

PHONE
Enjoy your medicine :3 I am never
leaving this house alone again

Character Clothing Final designs

Character Clothing Ideas
The different clothing designs have been drawn. I can see the different effects different clothing has on the look/feel of the character.
With idea No. 1, Silver Jewel has baggy pants, boots, woolen jersey, jacket, scarf, and hat. The jacket makes him less friendly and more intimating, like a football player. I like the scarf, pants, and boots, but should Look into a different hat idea?
With idea No. 2, I added cat ears to the hat, got rid of the jacket and added a belt. This makes him seem more childish and immature, like the kiwaii style. Maybe I should just get rid of the hat to see how he looks.
With idea No. 3, I added the jacket, got rid of the hat and belt, and got rid of the woolen lines. Without the hat, he seems less freighting but still to uburn for my liking (the jacket). I like the jersey without the woolen lines but I miss the original hat.

His outfit is No.3 but without the jacket and with the hat (No.1).

Character Emotion Sheet

Character Emotion Sheet
I have done the emotion sheet. I am very happy with how Silver's emotions are shown. I added different fractures to add to the emotion, like extra shadow around his eyes when he is mad and his hair spiking when he is frightened.
Here are the basic shapes and lines that helped me draw his emotions.

Montage Experiment

Today we were testing if we could create the Kuleshov effect

Images found though google images
Because of the second image, it gives the first image more meaning and a new feel. With the first slide, the first image seems to be hungry. The second image is distracted by a phone. The third is longing for rest/sleep. Even though the first image is the same, it seems to have a different feel. This was a successful trial.
