The animators of the time were Disney, Fleischer Studios, Warner Bros, MGM and Terrotoons. I will be talking about Disney. 1)
Still widely known as the most well known animation studios of all time, Disney created the first short film animation with jass-music playing instead of the characters specking called 'Steamboat Willie' (1920). This film introduced the iconic character Micky and Mini mouse.

This kick started Disney huge animation career. They then created the series called the 'Silly Symphonies'. This had many different short films starting with 'The Skeleton Dance' (1929). The most famous silly was the story about the 'Three Little Pigs' (1933) and the top song for years after, "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?". The sillies also introduced the most loved and famous character Donald Duck in 'The Wise Little Hen' (1934). Donald Duck's design has changed over time as seen in this film.

After the sillies, Disney started to look at creating animation that looked more realistic, creating the short film 'The Old Mill' (Mill). Disney went on to create their feature films, starting with 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' (1937), up to 'Lady and the Tramp' (1955).
