I found a very useful GIF that really shows all the different types of movement a four legged animal can move.
In this GIF, it shows the different walking/running styles of a dog, with is very similar to most other four legged animals like a cat and horse. I will soon create my own four legged animal to preform some of these movements like the walk and gallop/run.
